omg. finally ive the time to blog :D
(SUPER LONG POST !)

so over the weekend, nigel &i went to turi beach resort at batam.

took loads of pictures. i guess im fond of memories.
collaged most of them to save space.

got on our boat at harbourfront ferry terminal.

(btw on the bus ride to the beach resort, we met a 21 year old butch with a 15 year old lesbian going for a holiday at one of the beach resorts too. we were so grossed out !!!)

we had an entire cosy hut all to ourselves.
with 2 queen sized beds. really gorgeous.

after settling in, we were hungry !

the hotel’s restaurant.

he ordered carbonara pasta &mushroom chicken soup.
i ordered fish &chips.

oh yes. a nice sunny afternoon. &their poolside is so gorgeous !
we didnt swim much though. didnt wna puke right.

just chilled at the pool bar.

1) nigel’s long island tea &my batam paradise cocktail.
+ caeser’s salad which nigel ordered later on.
okay, this is where i totally fell in love with caeser salad !
i never ate salad in my entire life. i hated it. i’m not such a big fan of vege !
at first i was scoffing at nigel “yucks you eat salad one meh. order for what ! waste money !”.
but then, i gobbled nearly half of it x:
so deliciousssss.

okay the day was still young.
our next destination : beach !

water activities time !

so this is the highlight of my holiday, JET SKI !!!
okay, so its really expensive : SGD45 for 15mins ride / SGD65 for 30mins ride.
&they kinda cheated us cuz we said we wanted 15mins, yet they charged us for 30mins.
oh well right !

nigel the machoman sat in front to drive the thing.
so there’s different levels of speed &we could go til super duper fast.
it was so fun &scary !!! i asked him what if i flew off ?
then he asked me if i wna fly, so i said okay.
(NEVER IMAGINING HE WOULD REALLY MAKE ME FLY !!£$%^&)

so he accelerated the jet ski until the maximum speed &it was sooo fun cuz we were bumping against the waves &flying in the air.
until.

he made a sudden swerve.
that’s when the whole jet ski overturned (we were super far from shore !)
he claims he kicked it back before it fully overturned.
but what do i know ? i was totally submerged underwater !!!
my eyes were closed shut &i had a mouthful of terribly salty seawater.
i grabbed nigel with my arms &legs &wanted to climb on top of his shoulders. LOL.
until he started shouting at me “nicole ! relax relax relax YOU CAN FLOAT !”.

then i was like. oh.

then he pushed me up unto the jet ski again.
&actually a guy rode over to help us, but by the time he reached, we were up &safe already.

i actually cried quite badly !
so scared you know.
thought i was gna die.

hahaha. but it was super fun !
we actually switched positions (while out at sea !) so that i was the one driving for a while :D

anyway, after that, it was already too low tide to do anymore water activity so we said we’ll continue the next day.

i ordered beef, fish &prawn combi. nigel ordered beef tenderloin as usual.

quite cheap. sgd20++ for full course meal.
i think the food is so-so, but nigel loved it a lot.

buffet breakfast.
look at nigel’s plate (opposite), its like so nicely arranged like how they serve at restaurants. LOL.
i only took 1 prata &2 hashbrown because im not so ambitious.
hehe. i ate 1 bowl of cereal &1 piece of french toast aside from that too.

we went to the pool again after breakfast.
poolside bar again too. cocktails +caeser salad again.
actually drank alcohol every day during this holiday.
kept having “red face”, like natural blush x:

then we went to the beach to try banana boat.
SGD8/person/15mins.
its like really boring as compared to jet ski. hahaha.
cuz i love jet ski the bestest :]
can actually request the boatman to overturn your banana boat for fun.
but nigel specifically told them not to, in case i cry again -.-

after that we washed up to prepare for our massage :]
SGD40/55mins. i think its a bit more expensive. cant rmb.

have a blueblack on my shin from the massage though );

japanese restaurant for dinner again.

hm. actually pple can travel outside of the hotel to eat, but the taxi costs SGD50 one-way to the city. &we just thought its not worth it. but nigel really did want to eat the seafood outside.
we’ll call more pple to come holiday with us the next time ! more fun lah.

after dinner we jalan jalan again.
went to see the island bar.


you have to take a long long bridge that is extended from the shore into the sea, to reach the island bar. damn ulu, so we left.

yes, we realised by the 2nd day (sunday), everyone on the resort was practically gone !
this is probably because, pple will stay 2d1n only (check in on sat, check out on sun morning).
whereas for us, we bought an extension night = 3d2n. we checked out on mon morning.

kinda not worth it. we really should have stayed 2d1n only.
because everything on the resort can be done within 1 &a half days.
by the 2nd day, we felt there’s nth much to do alr.

so anw, we went to the yacht club instead.
played pool, drank cocktails &watched this nice hbo movie til late.

next morning was check-out already.
so fassssst.

reached home about 7plus in the evening then slept the whole day !
tuesday, went to ikea with nigel &bought so many nonsense.
print the nice picture for his mum too.
so finally today, i am really free.
but tonight im going to zouk’s ladies night.
hehe. who wants to go, call me !!!!

hmm. i feel like i’ve got lots of things to blog about :]

exams are next week. i really want to ace this one.

i really love human biology &im having fun learning about it.
anyway, lots of stuff in this module, i have learnt last year in australia.
just that, my human bio textbook is still in perth ! in my homestay’s house. haha.
i sold off all my textbooks except the human bio one. haha.

anw, suthanee is being my life saver.
she’s gna lend me her poly human bio textbook :D
the price of uni textbooks are a killer to buy.

i feel like i’ve got a tons of stuff to do.
the trouble is remembering every single one of them.
i have so many post-its around. even virtual ones on my desktop !

so ytd,
i went for my focus group discussion.

its the best focus group i ever had ! the pple are so very nice :D
all of them are 19 - 21 yrs old. me being the only 18yr old.

even after the discussion ended, we still slack inside the room discussing of websites to watch free shows.
&binging on the wide spread of food on the table. all free, all for us x:

earn $50 in the end. (but all blown away within a few hrs later)
6 of us from the group squeezed into the bung’s car &she dropped us off at the mrt.
talk about getting into a stranger’s car. lol. since i only met her for about 2hrs !

kinder surprise from cocoa tree !

remember the times when kinder surprise was in a different packaging &sold at local supermarkets ?
now you can hardly find it, &in fact, not ALL cocoa trees are selling it.
nigel said he couldnt find the kinder joy.

like so sad.
anw i havent eaten it yet. i have other chocos in the fridge waiting for me too.
all bought by nigel.

&now im angry with nigel btw !
he make me hate him.

&he kept waking me up this morning to eat mac’s breakfast with him.

in fact, i was super full that i felt like puking this morning.
know why ?

cuz the dinner we ate at vivo was at carnivore.
a brazillian meat buffet restaurant.

unique dining experience.
at one side of the restaurant, there is a mini salad buffet bar which contains no meat at all.
because the meat is served in a different way.
the waiters are walking around the restaurant with a large skewer of meat &they go to each table &cut the meat for you right in front of your eyes, unto your plate.

its pretty cool right !
that night, the variety we had was : butterfish, pig shoulder, honey baked ham, beef steak, beef ribs, garlic bread, pineapple, chicken, bacon wrap chicken, chicken heart, lamb &i think maybe some others i cant rmb.

the chicken heart is so tiny ! &sherwin likes it A LOT.
he took 8 pieces of heart.
i took 1, which i cant bear to eat /:
so i gave to nigel :]

ate sooooo much.
because they just keep coming &coming. haha.
ofcourse you can say you dont want la.
but it’s rather tasty.

costs about $50 per person, incl drinks &incl GST.
i dont think i will return. cuz i guess im not such a big fan of meat.

i only love fish meat the most. especially the fish &chips kind x:

anw, came home &knock out.
super tired sia.
i even forgot i had tuition &forgot to cancel it !

okay, so like aside from that,
im trying to refrain from going out.
to save money &to concentrate on my studies in this meantime.

nigel says he wants to go for holiday at a beach resort.
so yeap ! we are planning it asap.
as i have 1 week holiday after my exams.
2 or 3days will be for the beach resort, &the rest of the days we’re going to KL.

actually i thought i might get my red river during that period of time.
but seems like im gna get it by this week. HOPEFULLY !
also, my face is super irritating me now );
which is quite weird since i didnt experience this for months alr.

i want to buy a new phone when mummy comes back to sg.

i cannot stand my current phone. it always hangs on pple.
as i always get important phone calls (eg. tuition assignment, events, all money matters !)
&sometimes the person calls from a private line, i cant call back &its super wasted.

im also looking for a portable pc type.
here are my current choices !

the last one is some music type of phone, which i actually cannot stand.
but i like the design.
as for the 1st 2, i really want a phone with qwerty keypad !

26th aug ! like omg, the day finally came.

we did some rollercoasters, wet slides, paintball and my favourite was when we got to ride the all-terrain-vehicle for a short bit around a park. so fun, i totally wished it was longer.

it was a fucking nice place.

every one’s food was sooo delicious. yeah, it’s like as though no matter what you order, you’ll love it anyway.
i think it’s the best restaurant i ever visited.

then we went back to my other uncle’s home &watched casino royale for a while.

a gangster beat up his friend who ended up in hospital.
what was the conflict ? NONE.

i really know nothing about gangsters &how they “play”.
so i am shocked to hear they actually beat up people for nothing !
yes, call me stupid. but i’m proud to say i dont associate with them, hey ?

why go around beating other people up ?
not only they feel the pain but their loved ones are in distress.

because i really thank God nigel was not the one who ended up in the hospital.

anw, its not that fantastic. couldnt finish mine. left a super strong mushroom aftertaste in my mouth. unappealing. i wouldnt go back there again.
i think i still love newyorknewyork’s carbonara the best.

&within all of that, i still have to do revising !

today i actually went to school &STAYED there.
usually i leave halfway, or worst, i leave before i even step into the class X:
it was 3hours long tday. covered FIVE lectures. omg.
but hell productive :]

before school, went to watch Hancock with nigelbean at the cathay.

it’s super nice !
comedy +a twist in the story !
kinda influenced by nigel who admires will smith.

after the movie &our nachos, nigel went to buy another pair of havaianas.
then we went to the cathay’s basement for pasta at The Indulge.
i ordered dory pasta with pesto sauce &nigel ordered chicken pasta with pesto sauce.
the sauce is reEeeEaLLy nice !!

here’s mine,

not bad. its only $8.90.
they have student meals too($5.90++), but for 17 &below only.
thank God im still 17 ! but i didnt bring my i/c LOL.
but i’ll bring it the next time to dine there !

the bill came up to $20+ for the both of us. really not bad !

on saturday, went to nigel’s house.

our plan was to head to town for a movie +ice cream like he promised me !
but. the movie we wanted - Hancock was all sold out.

nigel’s dad picked us up from town then drove to pasir ris park.
relatives+family all there. for prawning !
there was also fishing. so stupid. we stand so long &no fish bite.

no wonder he asked us to TRY first.

so went to do prawning.

everyone caught at least 1 prawn !
nigel caught 6 or 7. i think the most.
he like very pro at everything hor.
then right. nigel’s dad caught NONE.
which is like so funny. nigel said his dad is the most pro.

i only caught 1 ! &it was only cuz nigel told me it was biting &ask me to pull.
if he never tell me, it would have eat finish then swim away la. which i suspect happened tons of times cuz when i sat there, i never paid attention to the rod.

need a lot of patience.

really tired.
something in the middle of the night freaked nigel &i out !!! to the max !!!
so our hours of sleep greatly reduced.

we told yl to get ready by 1030am.
we woke up at 1050am.

pack all the stuff then nigel’s mum drove us.
picked yl up first then went to ecp.
all nigel’s friends were alr there.

the chicken is damn nice ! nigel brought it. i like the marinade but the chicken was usually uncooked LOL. so i enjoy the outside, the inside i throw. blame yl, she was cooking most of the food. tsk.

she said sth like, its karma. that the man who helped us tie the crab, managed to catch a really big fish right after !


try to spot it. the white-ish thing. its around the length of the tip of my finger til my elbow. or bigger ? definitely really big ! big enough to feed a family ! or two ! SAY REAL ONE !!!

its swimming in the water but tied to a string.
nigel said, cuz they are not going home yet. so they keep it alive there first.
i guess more fresh like that ?

then i guess it got quite boring. since no one managed to catch a single fish.
i think there were about 10 of us lor.

a couple of guys went beside the jetty(?), a kind of restricted area, above some really big pipes. the water was shallow there. wonder why i didnt take a pic of it -.-

yl, nigel &i went down there too.
the guys managed to catch some really cool stuff !

a collection of hermit crabs &mini crabs.
&yes, believe it, they managed to grab that not-so-small crab as well !!
super fiesty.

the crab had purple pincer. but it pinched a guy who broke both of its pincers off.

i decided i wanted to bring one mini crab home.
it looked cute.

yl decided she wanted one too.

i threw mine away later. because i was too tired to hold the cup that held the crab.
yl put the cup in the pocket of her bag -.-

when we were packing up, the folks beside us were packing up too.

i even saw the stingray being caught !
really amazing.

so we headed off.
nigel, yl &i walked via this bedok reservoir connector thing.
about 1.4km can ?!
we ended up in some upper east coast bus terminal ?! lol.
some ulu bus interchange la. housing only 4 buses or sth.
or rather, a gigantic bus stop. LOL.

sweaty oily &unglam.

took 506 to have dinner/supper at bedok85 !! LONG TIME NO SEE K.

there was a kitten behind me.

finally, used the bus home.
