about our education etc etc. one of them is going to perth next year to take up ZOOLOGY !
so i have decided on a new pathway for my future !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am going to copy her ! its such an ingenious idea. WHY DIDNT I EVER THINK OF IT ?!

she is taking biomedical genetics right now. all her 1st year modules are almost the same as zoology’s 1st year modules (all bio-based science mah) so she can just go to perth’s uwa &cut in halfway ! damn save money you know ! singapore’s sch fees &perth (international) sch fees 10X DIFFERENCE , I SWEAR K.

for the benefit of those who have only just started reading my blog,
i will tell you about my educational background.
i took my o levels in 2006.
then i decided i wanted to study animal-related science (which singapore doesnt offer).
in 2007, i enrolled in murdoch college in perth.
at the end of 2007, i graduated with a pre-university certificate.
in 2008, i came back to singapore &enrolled in the university of western australia (offshore campus situated in singapore), doing my degree in molecular biology &biotechnology.

so now ! i have already told my mum about it.
(because i already have 2 pending offers for animal science in uwa &murdoch uni)
i have 2 choices.
1) i can finish off this 1year of my current degree in singapore, then transfer to animal science in perth next year.
2) i can finish off my entire molecular bio &biotech degree (3years), THEN go to perth to complete all the other modules required for animal science (which should only take another 1year)

*for those who have no clue about life science degrees, all bio-based courses would have similar modules (eg. basic science modules) so if i have alr taken them in singapore, i wouldnt have to take them in perth again.

i would then have THREE majors ! (i am alr majoring 2 now)
the girl told me to drop biotech which she said was irrelevant.
but looking at the modules, its all bio-based so it shouldnt be irrelevant.
right ?
biotech is not physics right ?!

hahahaha. so shiok !
i am very in my study mood now.
ive been studying for hours every day :D
(even though i dont understand 70% of the stuff…)

the chill factor was GREAAT. plush, comfy seats. yes, the typical sheesha-ing atmosphere.
great finger food although pathetic variety ! only 5 to choose from ? &that’s all they had. the rest were drinks.

$10 - $12 per plate but they aren’t stingy !

but it was real fun :D although soccer was showing &no one paid any attention to me ):

in the morn, i woke up at like 10am. i dont rlly sleep much there cuz pple keep walking in the room !
ofcourse i dont blame them la, its not my house.
but im just a light sleeper, especially when it’s not my own bed.

went to bathe, eat the grandma’s rice dumpling with sugar, drink milo, watch news w the grandpa, played psp with jedrek, read my statistics notes online, eat noodles with jedrek &the grandma, talked to jedrek, bid farewell to jedrek having chinese tuition (poor thing).
and nigel still didnt wake up.

i even happily plucked my eyeLASH.

anw now still got somemore left but i cannot tell which is real &which is fake.
its so painful to pluck ):

then finally nigel woke up &sent me downstairs :D

went home to sleep then to sch for my exam.

ofcourse, I CANNOT DO IT. i didnt even study la, hello.
i am fucking lazy. i want to slap myself.
like, the last time i ever really studied was O levels.
and ironically, i have not even once used my O level cert for anything.
i can burn it.

it was like a 3hour paper.
i can pass up within half an hour. but i was too shy. HAHA.
so this is what i usually do during papers,
step 1: do all the questions i actually know how to do.
step 2: stare at the questions i dont know how to do, in hopes that the answer will miraculously appear. somewhere.
step 3: look for the loopholes. eg. part b or c questions like “is it independent ?” and answer it despite not having answered part A.
step 4: fill in as much as you know for anything &everything to get half marks.
step 5: stare at the untouched questions again because it’s too early to hand in the paper.

outsiders came to invigilate the paper but my lecturer was still there.
i wanted to hand it in when his back was turned cuz i know he’ll surely give me some look &i’ll feel super embarrassed to be handing it up so early.
but too bad. got busted.
he waited for me outside the room &asked me abt the paper.
i just said, CMI !
hahaha.

it’s a recipe book on how to make DOG BISCUIT ! &it come with a box with manymany COOKIE CUTTER ! bone shape cutter. SO CUTE. I CANT WAIT TO BAKE :D

Ok, so I said I was gna have my re-test tday right.
It was sooo embarrassing.

The lecturer kept helping me with the paper /:
1st he started by telling me the formulae indirectly.
Then he actually started to whisper to me directly.

I actually was so ready to give it up but he didnt let me hand up the paper !!

The paper started at 8pm, supposed to end at 8:40pm.
I only managed to leave the room at 9:50pm.

That was after like a gazillion pple circled me teaching me how to do the questions they saw I got wrong.
OMG man.
I was really the LAST to finish.
Before all of this, I was so ready to hand up my paper at 8:30pm okay !!

Crazy shit.

&It’s kinda weird bcuz no one usually talks to me in class. Especially not the girls.
Only the guys will take the initiative. My 1st friend &2nd friend in my 1st module were guys.
I met a couple of other girl friends THROUGH the guys.

But anw I spend very very very little time in sch also so I hardly mix arnd with those friends I made in my modules. Even when I go to sch, Im late or rushing or just doing my own thing.

Bestf told me, if she didnt know me, she wouldnt dare to approach me also.
She said I have the face that says “I JUDGE”.

I miss the sleepovers, the sneaking &lying to my STUPID homestay, the smithssweetthaichillichips+coke we unhealthily ate for dinner &supper, the walking in the cold, the library “mugging”, the shopping at harbourtown, the brownies, the bitching, the oggling at mrhotguy, the last minute crazy laughing at you trying to cram chem notes into your retarded graphic calc. Ate our breakie then used bus to ecp.
Our initial plan was to go rollerblading.
But we fought before we even reached ecp.

But once we see each others faces, we can immediately break down laughing.
He chased me on rollerblades so I run across the road, over the grass. So he trudged after me in his rollerblades. Hahaha !!

Then we used cab back to his place.
A lot of pple were at his house having dinner - his father's side of the family.
I rlly liked them &it's my 1st time meeting his father actually /:

I have met his mother's side before.

His grandma's cooking is great, as usual.
It was like a feast ! But I paiseh also. Lol.

So apparently I found out my 2nd module has already started.
In fact the 1st lesson was on Saturday /:

Probability I can do. I can do very well.
But NOT correlation. Hatehatehatehate HATE.
Worst, we have to use FORMULAE.

What’s the point of perth colleges allowing us to bring in programmable graphic calculators, 2pgs worth of notes, a booklet full of a.math+calculus formulae THEN in university, we can’t use all of the above anymore ? (Or maybe only the campus in singapore. HATE.)

ANYWAY.
Before school, I met nigel at tampines mall to get his formal wear.

Dined at delifrance. I hadnt done so in about 10years.

Well it kind of sucks anyway. Not my type of food.

Evryone’s fussing about how long its been &I still havent taken off my BRACES.
Yea, I know man.

At first it was soo cool, I loved it.
Now it’s just annoying.
I’m not desperate to have it off though but Im interested to see my teeth without braces.

So I went for my dental tday.
He showed me the mould of my teeth before I ever put braces on.
It seriously shocked me crazy.
I couldnt recognise my own teeth man ! It was fucking scary, like some gargoyle’s teeth.
I swear !!
Disgusting lah.

Then I came back home &examined my teeth.
It’s like fucking straight now man.
There’s only TWO things left to perfect:

1) The gap on top.
2) The crooked tooth below that gap.

P.S: The white stuff around my braces is THE BRACES GLUE, NOT ANY YUCKY PLAQUE OR WHAT OK.
